Description
Although Eriosema is essentially pantropical in distribution, it occurs in three widely separated areas: American, Africa (including Madagascar), and Southeast Asia and northern Australia. All species of Eriosema are typically savanna plants, their distribution being obviously associated with a seasonal pattern of rainfall. This revision of the American species of Eriosema recognizes 45 taxa comprising 38 species and 7 varieties. Includes keys, descriptions, distribution maps, and black and white illustrations.
