Abstract
The subdivision of the genus Encephalartos into several genera (Acanthozamia, Congostrobus, Dracostrobus, Dyerstrobus, Glaucostrobus, Inezamia, Pyrrhostrobus, Rugostrobus, Tanzamia, Viride-strobus, and Xanthostrobus), as published by Cooper and Goode in The Cycads and Cycad Moths of KwaZulu-Natal (2004), is discussed in view of the authors’ motivation as well as available morphological, geographical, and molecular data.
