Hailing from New Caledonia, the heart shaped leaves of coleus offer a seemingly endless variety of color and pattern combinations. In the Victorian era, coleus were popular indoor hanging plants and commonly found as accent plants in conservatories. Having fallen out of fashion they are now enjoying a revival with new varieties introduced each year.
